Christmas evening in Boston

It got cold by the time I walked out of the hotel. I kind of know where I was walking to. I actually felt like I know where I was going, without using my google maps. A couple and their daughter asked me where Quincy Market is. I told them to head down this way, south direction. (I actually feel good when people ask me for direction. It makes me feel like a Bostonian). lol.  I remember the google map of the neighborhoods and sometimes it helps with walking my way around town. I almost missed Quincy Market because of all the crooked roads. I see the big rows of bubble lights and they guide me to the rest of the tree lights at Faneuil Hall.

The holiday lights on the trees looked so magical, so beautiful. I made it there just in time for the holiday light show. The lights on the row of skinny trees blinked and synchronized with the lights on the christmas tree along with the holiday music. I stood behind some people who were closer to the tree. It wasn’t overly crowed like Rockefeller Center. It was the right amount of people standing together to enjoy the event. There weren’t any shoving or rushing from people to places. I climbed up the stairs to look at the view from above. I didn’t know where I was looking at. I tried to block out my thoughts and just pay attention with my eyes at the surrounding building and surfaces of the light’s reflection. I was freezing cold and waited for the light show to go on again. I decided to walk to Chinatown for food. I was hungry.

I walked into a bakery thinking of buying a small cake to celebrate my happy time here in Boston for Christmas. The Chinese cake didn’t looked good, so I browsed around to look for something else. I saw a chestnut tart!!!

I can’t believe I found one of the restaurants that Cyndi recommended. I walked up to Ga Ga restaurant to get food for myself and my friend. The restaurant is really small and the vibe it gave me felt like a small version of Hop Lee.
